What is at stake
Border War. An Army ROTC cadet runs the Bronze Boot — a combat boot worn in Vietnam by a CSU alum — the 65 miles between the campuses, and the trophy is the oldest live tradition in the Rockies. Realignment split the schools in 2026, so this is now a non-conference game they chose to keep. They play for the Bronze Boot. A non-conference game.
